Wolves striker Tolu Arokodare forced the cancellation of a training session after refusing to leave the pitch amid a dispute over his future.
The 25-year-old Nigeria international reportedly sat down during the session and demanded the club allow him to join Fiorentina, after Wolves rejected a bid from the Serie A side.
The club had previously accepted an offer from Turkish outfit Trabzonspor, but Arokodare's actions led new head coach Cesar Peixoto to end Monday's training session early.
Arokodare will miss Wednesday's pre-season friendly against Maidenhead United as Wolves continue their preparations for the new campaign.
The incident adds to a difficult period for the striker at Molineux. He was disciplined in April following a confrontation with young forward Mateus Mane.
Signed from Genk for £24m last summer, Arokodare scored just three Premier League goals as Wolves suffered relegation after finishing bottom of the table.
The situation represents an early test for Peixoto, who took charge last month after replacing Rob Edwards. The Portuguese coach will now focus on guiding Wolves back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
