Head coach Justine Madugu has named a 25-player Super Falcons squad, led by captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and forward Asisat Oshoala, for Nigeria’s title defence at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The squad also includes experienced stars Osinachi Ohale, Jennifer Echegini, Toni Payne, Michelle Alozie, Christy Ucheibe, Esther Okoronkwo, Francisca Ordega and Omorinsola Babajide.
Nigeria, chasing a record-extending 11th WAFCON title, have been drawn in Group C alongside Egypt, Zambia and debutants Malawi. The Super Falcons will open their campaign against Malawi on July 28 before facing Zambia on August 1 and Egypt on August 5 in Rabat.
The tournament, scheduled for July 26 to August 16, will feature 16 teams for the first time, with the four semi-finalists qualifying automatically for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Madugu’s squad will begin a week-long training camp in Mohammedia on July 15 as preparations intensify for the continental championship.
