Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr has completed a return to the New York Giants, signing with the NFL franchise where he first rose to stardom 12 years ago.
The 33-year-old was a free agent after not playing last season, during which he served a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s drugs policy. He had recently worked out with the Giants in April and again earlier this week before finalising the move.
“Nothin was ever given to me I worked for everything I have. Never give up on urself. Home Team I’m back… Let’s get it,” Beckham wrote on Instagram.
Beckham was selected by the Giants in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft and spent five seasons in New York, recording 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns in 59 games.
He was traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2019 and later helped the Los Angeles Rams win Super Bowl LVI in 2022 before suffering a major knee injury during the game.
Beckham’s career since has included spells with the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins, taking his overall NFL tally to 575 receptions, 7,987 yards and 59 touchdowns.
