Chelsea have reportedly decided against pursuing moves for highly rated youngsters Ethan Nwaneri and Lucas Bergvall.
The Blues had been linked with both players as part of their strategy of recruiting some of the brightest young talents in world football. However, the club has now shifted its focus to other transfer targets and is not expected to make formal approaches for either player.
Nwaneri, regarded as one of England’s most promising prospects, has continued his development after emerging through Arsenal’s academy, while Bergvall remains one of the most sought-after young midfielders in Europe.
Chelsea's decision comes as the club reassesses its transfer priorities ahead of the new season, with attention likely to turn to strengthening other areas of the squad.
The West London club remains active in the market but appears unlikely to join the race for the signatures of Nwaneri or Bergvall.
