Brighton are braced for a renewed approach from Tottenham for defender Jan Paul van Hecke after rejecting an initial offer for the Dutch international.
New Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi is keen to reunite with the 25-year-old centre-back, having previously worked with him during his time at Brighton.
Van Hecke, who has a year remaining on his contract, is valued by Brighton at around £70 million following his impressive rise since joining from NAC Breda in 2020.
The defender has made 131 appearances for the Seagulls, including 36 Premier League starts last season, and remains a key asset. However, with his contract entering its final year, Brighton are expected to have contingency plans in place should Tottenham return with an improved bid.
