Victor Osimhen has revealed that two of the toughest defenders he has faced in his career are Kalidou Koulibaly and Antonio Rüdiger.
The Nigerian striker explained that both defenders are extremely difficult to play against because of their physical strength, aggression, tactical awareness and ability to read attacking movements. Osimhen said Koulibaly was especially challenging during training sessions and matches because of his experience and commanding presence in defense.
Speaking about Rüdiger, the former Napoli forward praised the Real Madrid defender’s intensity and pace, noting that he rarely gives attackers space or time on the ball. Osimhen added that facing defenders of such quality has helped improve his own game over the years.
The Galatasaray striker has come up against several top defenders in Serie A, the UEFA Champions League and international football, but he believes Koulibaly and Rüdiger stand out as the most difficult opponents he has encountered in his career so far.
