Moses Itauma has suggested that undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk has no real incentive to face him in the ring at this stage of his career.
Speaking ahead of his continued rise in the heavyweight division, Itauma acknowledged Usyk’s elite status and current priorities, stating that a fight between them is unlikely given the Ukrainian’s focus on bigger, established opponents.
The young British prospect remains highly rated and continues to build his reputation, but admitted that a clash with Usyk may not be realistic for now as the champion weighs his future options in the division.
Despite ruling out the immediate possibility, Itauma insisted he is staying focused on his development, aiming to position himself for major fights in the near future.
