Kun Khalifat FC technical adviser, Obinna Uzoho, has insisted that his side will continue fighting to avoid relegation from the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.
The modest club climbed to 17th position on the table following a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Kano Pillars FC at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri on Sunday.
Uzoho expressed confidence in his team’s determination and ability to preserve their top-flight status.
“We always believe in ourselves, and we never give up until the final whistle,” Uzoho told Puyaka.
“We will keep fighting until we secure our place in the league for next season.”
The coach added that surviving relegation would be crucial for the development of the club’s young players.
“Our survival will be good for the young players because next season they will have another opportunity to showcase their talents to the world,” he said.
