Manchester United Considering Dropping Interest in Elliot Anderson

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to withdraw from the race to sign Elliot Anderson after being quoted a record-breaking transfer fee by Nottingham Forest.

The 23-year-old midfielder has emerged as one of the Premier League’s standout performers this season, attracting interest from several top clubs including Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal.

However, according to ESPN, Manchester United have been put off by Forest’s reported £120m valuation and are now considering stepping away from the deal.

The report adds that United believe the asking price is significantly inflated, with the club instead targeting a more realistic spending range of £80m to £90m for a top midfield addition.

Forest, meanwhile, are understood to be under no pressure to sell and are expected to demand a premium fee for one of their most influential players.
