Werder Bremen head coach Daniel Thioune has hinted that Victor Boniface could miss the squad for their upcoming Bundesliga clash with FC Augsburg.
Boniface, who recently returned from a knee injury, was absent in Bremen’s 1–1 draw with VfB Stuttgart. Despite making progress, Thioune says increased competition—following the return of players like Marco Friedl and Marco Grüll—means no one is guaranteed a spot.
The manager added that selection will depend on final training performances, with Boniface needing to impress to earn his place.
