Tyson Fury has confirmed he will return to the ring in Dublin on August 1 for a warm-up bout ahead of his expected heavyweight showdown with Anthony Joshua later this year.
The 36-year-old announced the date via Instagram, posting a video from his training camp in Thailand with the caption: “Let’s go August 1, Dublin, Ireland.”
An opponent has not yet been confirmed, although promoter Frank Warren previously indicated that an announcement was imminent.
Fury’s Dublin outing is part of a wider build-up to a potential blockbuster clash with Joshua, who is also scheduled for a warm-up fight against Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25.
