Phil Foden and Cole Palmer are reportedly set to miss out on Thomas Tuchel’s England national football team squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
According to reports from BBC and Sky Sports, the pair are expected to be omitted following difficult club seasons despite their important roles in England’s run to the Euro 2024 final.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is also reportedly set to miss the squad, while Ivan Toney could earn a surprise recall after impressing with Al Ahli Saudi FC.
Meanwhile, Morgan Gibbs-White and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are also expected to be overlooked despite strong Premier League campaigns.
The reported selections underline Tuchel’s willingness to make bold decisions as England prepare for the tournament this summer.
