West Bromwich Albion secured their Championship survival in style with a convincing win over Watford at The Hawthorns, moving safely clear of the relegation zone.
The Baggies took control in the first half with goals from Isaac Price and Daryl Dike. Price opened the scoring after latching onto a dangerous cross from Crystal Palace loanee Danny Imray, while Dike doubled the lead just before half-time with a well-timed header from a set-piece.
Watford struggled to respond despite a few half-chances, with West Brom goalkeeper Max O’Leary making key saves to preserve the clean sheet. The visitors’ frustrations grew as their poor form continued, extending a difficult run of results.
In the second half, West Brom wrapped up the win when Danny Imray got on the scoresheet himself, finishing from close range after a goalmouth scramble.
The result extends West Brom’s impressive unbeaten run under interim manager James Morrison and puts them eight points clear of the bottom three with just two matches remaining.
