Millwall moved into the Championship automatic promotion places and secured at least a play-off spot with a hard-fought 3-1 win over Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.
Millwall started strongly and took the lead through Camiel Neghli, who produced a brilliant curling effort into the top corner that left the Stoke goalkeeper with no chance. Femi Azeez then doubled the advantage after a long-range shot slipped through the keeper’s hands.
Stoke briefly fought back when a substitute’s cross led to a deflected own goal from Caleb Taylor, giving the hosts hope of a comeback.
However, Josh Coburn restored Millwall’s control after a defensive mistake from Stoke, finishing calmly for his ninth league goal of the season and sealing the victory.
The result lifts Millwall into second place, strengthening their push for automatic promotion as the season nears its conclusion.
