
Victor Wembanyama delivered a double-double to help the San Antonio Spurs secure a 114-95 win over the Portland Trail Blazers and clinch their NBA play-off series 4-1.
The Spurs dominated in Texas, leading by as many as 28 points as they secured their first series victory in nine years. Wembanyama finished with 17 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks, while De'Aaron Fox led the scoring with 21 points in a balanced team performance.
Coach Mitch Johnson praised the team’s sharpness as San Antonio advanced to the Western Conference semi-finals, where they will face either the Denver Nuggets or the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Elsewhere, the Philadelphia 76ers kept their series alive with a win over the Boston Celtics, led by a strong performance from Joel Embiid.
