The Premier League’s panel says officials were right not to award a penalty to Amad Diallo during Manchester United FC’s draw with AFC Bournemouth.
Although there was contact from Adrien Truffert, the panel said it was not strong enough to be a foul. VAR also made the correct decision not to overturn the referee’s call, as it did not meet the threshold for a clear error.
The decision was split among panel members, but they agreed VAR handled the situation correctly.
