Manchester City are not distracted as the WSL title approaches, says Jeglertz

Manchester City are fully focused on their own games as they close in on the Women’s Super League (WSL) title, says manager Andree Jeglertz.

City are top of the table with a nine-point lead over Chelsea and could be crowned champions next week if results go their way. They must first beat Brighton, while also hoping Arsenal drop points in their remaining matches.

Jeglertz said the team are “fully aware” of the title situation but insist it does not change their preparation. He stressed that City are only focused on winning their own matches rather than relying on other results.

He also admitted there is “extra energy” in the squad as they approach a possible first league title in 10 years, with an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea still to come as part of a potential domestic double push.
