Bournemouth had taken the lead through young striker Eli Junior Kroupi, who scored his 11th league goal of the season. Leeds responded with pressure, and Wilfried Gnonto levelled after a chaotic moment in the box, with Bournemouth defender James Hill turning the ball into his own net.
The home side looked to have won it late when substitute Rayan finished from close range after a cross from Tyler Adams, but Leeds refused to give up.
