Daniel Dubois Outpoints a Battered David Harper to Unify Heavyweight Titles

0

Caroline Dubois floored a bloodied Terri Harper before outpointing her to become the unified lightweight world champion at London’s Olympia.

After a slow start, Dubois sent Harper to the canvas with a jab and left hook in the sixth round. Harper, who suffered a nasty cut from a clash of heads in the eighth, showed courage but couldn’t turn the fight around.

The judges scored the bout 98-91, 97-92, and 98-91 in favor of Dubois, who now holds both the WBC and WBO belts. The Londoner remains unbeaten with 13 wins and one draw, while Harper falls to 16 wins, three losses, and two draws.
