Curtis Blaydes says he is “rooting” for Tom Aspinall to return to the UFC after the British heavyweight had eye surgery earlier this year.
Tom Aspinall hasn’t fought since October, when his bout with Ciryl Gane ended as a no-contest due to repeated eye pokes that caused vision problems.
Blaydes said he hopes Aspinall recovers well and comes back, as he doesn’t want to see a top fighter lose his place because of injury.
Aspinall, the current heavyweight champion, is still recovering and has not said when he will fight again.
