Jude Bellingham criticised the decision to send off Eduardo Camavinga, calling it “a joke” after Real Madrid lost 4-3 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Camavinga, who had only been on the pitch for 24 minutes, received a second yellow card in the 86th minute for kicking the ball away after a foul on Harry Kane, which meant he was sent off.
At the time, the tie was level, but the red card left Real Madrid down to 10 men during the closing moments of the game.
Bayern Munich took advantage of the situation, scoring two late goals to secure a 6-4 aggregate win and book their place in the semi-finals.
Bellingham, speaking briefly as he left the stadium, shook his head and said the decision was “impossible” to justify, reflecting the growing frustration within Real Madrid over the call.
