Arne Slot says he has full support from Liverpool’s owners and fans

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot insists he still feels “complete support” from the club’s hierarchy and fans, despite a poor run of results and growing pressure over his future at Anfield.

Slot, who replaced Jurgen Klopp in June 2024, won the Premier League in his first season but is now struggling, with Liverpool fighting to stay in the European places and sitting just seven points above 13th place.

His team have taken only one point from their last three league games, including a 2-1 defeat to Brighton. They were also knocked out of the FA Cup 4-0 by Manchester City and suffered a heavy Champions League quarter-final first-leg loss to Paris St-Germain.

After the PSG defeat, critics said Liverpool’s confidence looks very low and questioned whether Slot will still be in charge next season. However, Slot, who is under contract until 2027, says he is not worried and still feels strong backing from both the club and the fans.

He also praised supporters for continuing to sing for the team even after heavy defeats and says the tough results will motivate them to improve during a key stage of the season.
