Wales national rugby union team ended their long losing streak in the Six Nations Championship with an impressive bonus-point win over Italy national rugby union team in Cardiff.

Aaron Wainwright scored two tries, while captain Dewi Lake added another. Fly-half Dan Edwards scored 16 points, including a try and a drop-goal, helping Wales race to a huge 31-0 lead.

Italy fought back in the second half with tries from Tommaso di Bartolomeo, Tommaso Allan and fly-half Paolo Garbisi, but Wales had already done enough to secure the win.

Wainwright was named player of the match for his excellent performance, while wing Ellis Mee also impressed.

The victory finally ended Wales’ 15-match losing run in the Six Nations, a streak that had lasted three years.
