Wales fly-half Sam Costelow has been ruled out of their Six Nations trip to face Ireland on Friday due to an ankle injury suffered against Scotland.
Costelow, 25, could still return for Wales’ final game against Italy on 14 March. He is set to be replaced by Jarrod Evansor Dan Edwards, while injured flanker Taine Plumtree is out for the tournament with a shoulder issue.
Wales have already added Keiron Assiratti and Ryan Woodman to the squad. The team is trying to end a difficult run, having lost 24 of the past 26 internationals and 14 consecutive Six Nations games. Wales have not beaten Ireland away in the tournament since 2012.
