Scotland have received a big boost with the return of Jack Dempsey to their squad ahead of Saturday’s Six Nations clash with France.
The 31-year-old number eight had been expected to miss the rest of the tournament after a bicep injury in the Calcutta Cup win over England, but he is now back in contention. Dempsey’s ball-carrying ability and energy were missed in the recent win over Wales.
If fit, Dempsey will add strength against France’s powerful pack. Glasgow teammates Seb Stephen and Murphy Walkerhave also joined the squad, with Stephen yet to make his international debut.
A win over France would keep Scotland’s title hopes alive ahead of their final game against Ireland.
