Menna Fitzpatrick and Scott Meenagh will carry Great Britain’s flag at the opening ceremony of the Winter Paralympics on Friday.
Fitzpatrick, Britain’s most decorated Winter Paralympian with six medals, is competing just three months after a serious knee injury.
Meenagh, who will appear at his third Paralympics after competing in 2018 and 2022, made history in 2023 by becoming the first Briton to win a medal at the World Para Nordic Skiing Championships.
The opening ceremony will take place at the historic Verona Arena, with the Games running until 15 March and marking 50 years since the first Winter Paralympics.
