McCullum and Key still Expected to have ECB Support

0

Head coach Brendon McCullum and director of cricket Rob Key are likely to keep the support of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) despite England’s poor winter results.

England suffered a 4–1 The Ashes defeat in Australia and lost to India national cricket team in the semi-finals of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

ECB chief executive Richard Gould ordered a review of the Ashes tour, but only small changes have been made so far.

McCullum said he wants to continue in the role and has already started planning for England’s upcoming home summer, with support also coming from captain Ben Stokes and white-ball captain Harry Brook.
