Luke Littler spoiled the Welsh party with a Premier League win, beating Jonny Clayton 6-4 in a thrilling final at Utilita Arena Cardiff.
Littler started strongly by breaking Clayton in the first leg, but Clayton quickly fought back when Littler missed a chance to finish 68. The Welsh star then excited the home crowd with a brilliant bullseye finish to take the lead.
However, Littler showed his class by hitting the famous ‘Big Fish’ 170 checkout, the same finish he used earlier to beat Gerwyn Price in the semi-final.
The match stayed close at 3-3, and Littler nearly produced a perfect nine-dart finish, missing only the final double. Clayton then took advantage and checked out 41.
But the 19-year-old world champion stayed calm, broke Clayton again and sealed the victory with a 52 checkout to claim his first night win of the 2026 Premier League Darts season and move into the top four.
Clayton still remains top of the table after reaching another final.
