George Russell has accused Ferrari of being “selfish” and “silly” for blocking a rule change aimed at improving Formula 1 start safety.
The issue came after a near crash at the Australian Grand Prix when Franco Colapinto almost hit the slow-moving car of Liam Lawson.
Russell said the current rule about energy harvesting on the formation lap creates big differences in start performance. He claims Ferrari, who have strong starts this season, are blocking the change because it benefits them.
