Arsenal Beat London City to keep their European Hopes alive

0

Arsenal W.F.C. kept their hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Women's Champions League alive with a win over London City Lionesses.

Olivia Smith scored the opening goal in the 15th minute after finishing a loose ball from a cross by Chloe Kelly.

In the second half, substitute Stina Blackstenius sealed the win after combining well with Alessia Russo to score from close range.

London City struggled to create chances and rarely troubled Arsenal goalkeeper Anneke Borbe.

The victory moves Arsenal closer to the top three, sitting just one point behind Chelsea W.F.C. and two behind Manchester United W.F.C. with a game in hand.
