Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi will face trial over a rape allegation relating to an incident at his Paris home in 2023. Hakimi, 27, denies the claim. His lawyer confirmed that a trial has been ordered, though no date has been set.
Hakimi said on social media that he “calmly awaits this trial, which will allow the truth to come out publicly,” adding that such accusations can be unfair both to the innocent and genuine victims.
Despite the legal issue, Hakimi remains part of PSG’s squad for the Champions League and will represent Morocco at the World Cup this summer.
