Eddie Howe has told Anthony Gordon to stay “fully focused” amid transfer links with Arsenal.
The Newcastle United forward has been linked with a move to Arsenal, although Gordon recently dismissed the rumours as “a load of rubbish.”
Howe said there is little he can do about transfer speculation but stressed that Gordon must concentrate on his football, especially with important matches ahead and potential international commitments in the summer.
Newcastle have previously dealt with high-profile transfer drama, including Alexander Isak’s record £125m move to Liverpool. Howe added that transfer rumours are part of modern football and believes his players are strong enough to ignore the noise.
