
Shimron Hetmyer smashed 85 off just 34 balls as West Indies crushed Zimbabwe by 107 runs in their T20 World Cup Super 8 opener.
Hetmyer hit seven sixes and seven fours at a strike rate of 250, helping West Indies post a huge 254-6 — the second-highest total in T20 World Cup history. Rovman Powell added 59, while Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd,and Jason Holder chipped in with quick runs.
Zimbabwe’s chase never got going, with Akeal Hosein and Gudakesh Motie tearing through the batting line-up. Although Brad Evans hit a late 43, Zimbabwe were heavily beaten.
