Feyenoord are training in Belgium this week so Raheem Sterling can work with his new team-mates.
Sterling, 31, joined the club last week after leaving Chelsea, but he cannot train or play in the Netherlands until his work permit is approved. Manager Robin van Persie moved the sessions to Tubize, about 85 miles from Rotterdam, to help Sterling adapt and integrate with the squad.
Feyenoord will return to Rotterdam after Wednesday’s session and hope Sterling can feature in their home match against Telstar on Sunday. The former Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal forward has scored 20 goals in 82 England appearances and chose Feyenoord over interest from around 18 clubs in Europe.
