Wolves’ Rob Edwards and Sunderland’s Regis Le Bris condemn racist abuse aimed at their players.
Wolves striker Tolu Arokodare, 25, received racist messages on social media after Wolves lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace. Manager Rob Edwards said it had been a “really difficult week” for Arokodare and that the club had supported him both individually and as a team.
Sunderland winger Romaine Mundle, 22, was also targeted after Sunday’s 3-1 home loss to Fulham. Manager Regis Le Bris called the abuse “unacceptable” and said there is no room for racism in football, emphasizing the club’s commitment to respect, inclusion, and diversity.
