Costelow gives Wales a boost, but Plumtree will miss the Six Nations through injury

Wales are still hopeful that fly-half Sam Costelow could play again in the Six Nations, but flanker Taine Plumtree has been ruled out of the tournament through injury.

Both were hurt in the 26-23 loss to Scotland. Costelow injured his ankle but remains with the squad to continue rehabilitation ahead of matches against Ireland and Italy. Plumtree, however, damaged his shoulder early in the game and has been released from the squad.

Wales are currently bottom of the Six Nations table after defeats to England, France and Scotland, and will next face Ireland in Dublin before finishing their campaign against Italy.
