Clayton aims to beat Littler again in Belfast

Jonny Clayton aims for a repeat win over world number one Luke Littler in Belfast.

Clayton will face Littler in the Premier League quarter-final at the SSE Arena on Thursday night. The Welshman previously beat the back-to-back world champion 6-1 in Glasgow, moving to the top of the Premier League standings.

Littler, 19, bounced back by winning his fifth European Tour title at the Poland Darts Open. Clayton said he enjoys playing on big stages and knows the importance of points in the Premier League.

Littler is sixth in the standings, level with reigning champion Luke Humphries. Other quarter-finals include Michael van Gerwen against Gerwyn Price, with Van Gerwen just one point off the top spot despite missing last week’s event due to a medical issue.

Clayton’s previous Premier League wins show he’s in strong form, averaging over 104 to defeat Gian van Veen in Glasgow, and he’ll look to continue that momentum in Belfast.
