Castleford Tigers earned their first Super League win of the season with an impressive victory over Huddersfield Giants.
Ashton Golding stole the spotlight by scoring on his debut against his former club, sealing a memorable night for the Tigers.
Castleford made a strong start, with Liam Hood, Darnell McIntosh and George Lawler all crossing in the first half. Jacob Gagai pulled one back for Huddersfield before the break to make it 16-4.
In the second half, Tom Weaver scored twice, either side of a George Flanagan try for the Giants, to keep Castleford in control. Golding then powered over late on to spark huge celebrations among the home fans.
It was also the Tigers’ first league win under head coach Ryan Carr, giving them a much-needed boost after a difficult start to the campaign.
