Tomas Cvancara scored on his home debut as Celtic beat Falkirk to move into second place in the Scottish Premiership.
The Czech striker, on loan from Borussia Monchengladbach, opened the scoring with a brilliant header, and Benjamin Nygren added a second with a fine strike in the second half. The win moves Celtic above Rangers on goals scored and keeps manager Martin O’Neill unbeaten domestically since returning.
Falkirk created several chances and tested Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, but Celtic were more clinical in front of goal. Sebastian Tounekti also had a goal disallowed for offside during a strong attacking move.
