Arsenal cruised into the Women’s Champions League quarter-finals, setting up a blockbuster tie with Chelsea, after beating OH Leuven in the second-leg play-off.
Alessia Russo opened the scoring with a smart turn and later added a second, while Mariona Caldentey scored from a penalty, sealing a 7-1 aggregate win. OH Leuven briefly equalised through Sara Pusztai, but it wasn’t enough to threaten Arsenal’s progression.
Despite sloppy possession and heavy rain, Arsenal did what was needed to secure a place in the last eight, where they will face domestic rivals Chelsea on 24-25 March.
