West Ham have agreed to sell Lucas Paqueta to Flamengo for more than £35.5m. The 28-year-old Brazil forward, who joined the Hammers from Lyon in 2022, has been allowed to travel home to complete the transfer before the winter deadline on 2 February.
West Ham were open to a deal that would have seen Paqueta stay on loan until the end of the season, but Flamengo pushed to complete the move immediately, with the Brazilian league starting in March. Although West Ham have won three games in a row for the first time since 2023 without Paqueta, they remain 18th in the Premier League, five points from safety.
