Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank says he still feels the backing of the club’s board despite mounting pressure following a poor run of results. Spurs sit 14th in the Premier League and have won just seven of their 22 league games, with sections of the fanbase already turning against the former Brentford boss.
BBC Sport understands Frank is under internal scrutiny, with at least one senior figure at the club raising the possibility of ending his seven-month spell in charge. However, Frank said a recent lunch with chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and other board members reassured him of their trust.
Speaking ahead of Spurs’ Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund, Frank insisted results are the key to winning back supporters. He also revealed he has only 11 outfield first-team players available, adding that strong backing from fans and players could help Spurs keep their European hopes alive.
