Tottenham and Brentford played out a 0-0 draw in the Premier League as Thomas Frank returned to manage his former club at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Frank, who left Brentford in June after a seven-year spell, received a warm standing ovation before kick-off. “It was a very nice moment… we achieved a lot of magic moments together,” Frank said after the match.
On the pitch, neither team could break the deadlock. Kevin Schade thought he scored early for Brentford, but it was ruled out for offside. The Bees had the better chances, but Keane Lewis-Potter, Igor Thiago, and Vitaly Janelt all failed to convert.
The goalless draw was Tottenham’s first in 137 Premier League games, leaving Spurs 12th and Brentford just above in ninth place.
