Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank received a big boost as Spurs beat Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League after a strong first-half performance.
Frank had been under pressure following a home defeat by West Ham, but Spurs responded with energy and attacking intent at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Goals from Cristian Romero and Dominic Solanke in the first half proved enough to secure the win.
Tottenham dominated early on and were helped when Dortmund were reduced to 10 men after Daniel Svensson was sent off following a VAR review. Spurs continued to create chances and deserved their victory.
The result leaves Tottenham fourth in the group standings and in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stages with one game remaining.
Although Spurs slowed down after the break, they defended well to see out the win and ease the pressure on Frank.
