James Tavernier scored his 100th league goal for Rangers as they beat Dundee to close the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership. The win lifted Rangers above Celtic and within four points of leaders Hearts.
Tavernier converted a second-half penalty, while Danilo and Djeidi Gassama added late goals to seal the 3-0 victory, marking Rangers’ eighth consecutive win in all competitions.
The penalty came after Nico Raskin fouled Ryan Astley, and VAR confirmed the decision. Danilo scored from a Dundee mistake, and Gassama curled in a superb third. Dundee struggled to create chances, with only Tochi Chukwuani’s first-half header ruled offside and a few efforts saved by keeper Jon McCracken.
Rangers dominated the second half and fully deserved the win to keep the pressure on Hearts at the top.
