Manchester United were held to a draw at Burnley in their first game since sacking Ruben Amorim. Benjamin Sesko scored twice early in the second half to give United hope, after Burnley went ahead at half-time through an Ayden Heaven own goal.
However, Burnley’s Jaidon Anthony equalised late to deny interim boss Darren Fletcher his first win. Fletcher had switched Amorim’s formation, creating chances through Matheus Cunha, Patrick Dorgu, Sesko, and teen substitute Shea Lacey, but United couldn’t convert enough to win.
Fans made their feelings known with banners against minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and songs targeting co-chairman Joel Glazer, while also showing support for potential caretaker managers Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick.
