
Mohamed Salah scored again as Egypt knocked out holders Ivory Coast in a thrilling Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) quarter-final.
Egypt raced into an early lead through Omar Marmoush, before Ramy Rabia made it 2-0. An own goal by Ahmed Fatouh gave Ivory Coast hope, but Salah restored Egypt’s two-goal advantage.
Ivory Coast fought back once more through Guela Doue, setting up a tense finish, but Egypt held on to win. The result keeps Salah’s dream of winning his first Afcon title alive.
