New Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior says he will stay focused and do things his own way, ignoring the “noise” surrounding his appointment. The 41-year-old signed a contract until 2032 after Enzo Maresca left and takes charge of Saturday’s FA Cup tie at Charlton.
Rosenior, who previously managed Hull City and French club Strasbourg, said he isn’t concerned about critics and believes Chelsea’s potential is “limitless.” He stressed that a manager must make their own decisions and cannot simply follow instructions from the club’s hierarchy.
Chelsea are currently eighth in the Premier League after a five-match winless run, but remain in three cup competitions. Rosenior aims to win games, build a team fans can be proud of, and make Stamford Bridge a place where opponents fear to play.
