Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid to reach the Spanish Super Cup final, where they will face Barcelona in El Clasico. Federico Valverde scored a brilliant early free-kick to give Real the lead, before Rodrygo made it 2-0 early in the second half.
Atletico pulled one goal back through Alexander Sorloth, but despite creating many chances, they could not find an equaliser. Real held on to win the semi-final played in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The victory sends Real Madrid, who were missing injured star Kylian Mbappe, into Sunday’s final. Barcelona reached the final after a big win over Athletic Club, setting up another high-profile clash between Spain’s biggest rivals.
