Former England all-rounder Moeen Ali has reversed his retirement plans to join Yorkshire, aiming to help the team "build bridges" with communities. The 38-year-old will play in the T20 Blast and praised Yorkshire’s efforts to address racism, following the Azeem Rafiq case five years ago.

Moeen said the club has made significant changes, from leadership to supporting women, girls, and junior pathways, and described Yorkshire’s progress as “fantastic.” A two-time World Cup winner, Moeen brings vast experience, having scored 7,792 runs and taken 271 wickets in 420 T20 matches.

Yorkshire’s general manager of cricket, Gavin Hamilton, welcomed Moeen’s arrival, highlighting that he will contribute not only on the field but also in setting high standards off it.
